Hi, I'm Athena Tacet, a French-Cypriot-Canadian digital illustrator working with clients worldwide. I create minimalist vector illustrations inspired by women, places, and life between cultures.
My work is shaped by a life lived between Paris, Montreal, and my Mediterranean roots in Cyprus and Greece. I grew up surrounded by bougainvillea pinks against whitewashed architecture, where the Aegean Sea carves geometric lines into the horizon—a visual clarity that continues to define my aesthetic today.
A decade as a journalist reporting for international media, including Al Jazeera and The Economist, took me to Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan. There, I came to appreciate an unexpected kinship between Mediterranean and East Asian aesthetics: both value restraint, elegance, and the idea that what is left out can be as meaningful as what is included.
Fluent in English, French, and Greek, with conversational Italian, Spanish, and Levantine Arabic, I enjoy working across cultures and creating illustrations that resonate with international audiences.
Interested in working together? I'd love to hear about your project.
