Paros Island Memories is a series of 12 spot illustrations celebrating the sensory memories of a place that shaped me.
These are small windows into my childhood summers on Paros, before it became the island the world knows today. For me, it was simply 'το χωριό μου' (my village).
Known for its ancient white marble and fertile soil, Paros is where I took my first steps and spoke my first words. A land of many firsts that I couldn't quite find the language to describe, so I drew them instead.
I chose to step away from the iconic Greek blue for this series. Instead, I wanted to capture the island through the warmth of its sun-baked soil and earthy terracotta tones, a palette inspired by the deep coppery hues of my Cypriot roots.
